Ian Fairlie
Coach Fairlie, originally from Owego, NY, has been a coach with Empire City Soccer Academy since 2013, serving as the U-16 coach. Prior to this, he served as the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at NCAA Division-I, University at Buffalo. While in Buffalo, Ian also spent time coaching Black Watch Premier’s U-16 and U-17 boys, as well as for Raise Your Level, a youth soccer academy for boys and girls ages 6-18. Prior to Buffalo, Ian was the top Assistant at NCAA Division-III, Clarkson University for three years. During his time at Clarkson he helped the team achieve regional rankings, along with guiding a number of players to athletic and academic accolades. Along with collegiate and club experience, Coach Fairlie has spent several years coaching soccer camps for Lake Placid Center, St. Lawrence University, Clarkson University, University at Buffalo, and Amherst Soccer Club. Coach Fairlie holds a USSF "D" Coaching License, and a Coerver Youth Coaching Certificate.
Fairlie had a very successful collegiate playing career at nationally ranked NCAA Division-III, St. Lawrence University. He started 47 out of 51 games in his career, leading the Saints to two conference titles and two NCAA tournament berths.
