PJ Motsiff
U12 Boys, U5-U10
PJ Motsiff is the founder and owner of the Adirondack Lynx Female Soccer Academy and the Adirondack FC Player Development Program. In addition to his work with the Lynx and ADK FC he serves as the U12 coach for Empire City Soccer Academy. Motsiff recently resigned from public education after teaching for 14 years at the elementary level because “A Labor of Love had become my full time passion.” Having been a high school varsity coach for 7 years (Hoosick Falls, Saratoga, Ballston Spa) and a college coach for 11 years (Cortland State, College of Saint Rose, Skidmore) it has been a wonderful journey to watch the programs evolve from a Women’s Semi-Pro Team to its current state of youth training programs reaching over 400 youth players each year. With programs like The Empire City Boys Soccer Academy we are looking to grow that number this year as our reputation for delivering quality instruction moves through the communities we serve.
Motsiff currently holds his national coaching license from the NSCAA and has helped hundreds of players transition from the youth level to the college ranks. He has coached International Olympians, US Youth National players all the way down to 4-5 year olds. Through soccer he has been able to do extensive travel that has allowed him to connect to colleagues at all levels.
Motisiff's philosophy is built on the premise that through extensive ball work, hard work, and diligent practice, players can improve because to be a great player you must understand all facets of how the ball works and be able to make all the players around you look good.
